Chatsworth Dental Group is a
full-service dental office, offering general dental procedures
for the whole family.
General Dentistry
- Cleanings – Regular prophies from our qualified hygienist help make future visits to the dentist much more pleasant.
- Fillings – From amalgam to the latest natural tooth shade colors, filings help to prevent teeth from further deterioration.
- Extractions –Removal of teeth is always our last option. If a tooth or teeth are damaged beyond repair, implants, bridges or partial dentures are used to remedy the situation (see Prosthodontics section below.) Extractions may be necessary when room is needed for wisdom teeth or for orthodontic care.
Cosmetic Dentistry
- Bleaching – Brighter and whiter smiles can be easily accomplished in our office or as a take home procedure. The take-home system gives the patient more control of shade; the in-office treatment is faster, but may require more than one appointment.
- Bonding – By altering the tooth structure with the use of composite resin materials, we are able to repair decayed, chipped or crooked teeth, as well as close spaces between teeth.
- Porcelain Veneers – This technology can help transform a less-than-perfect grin into a brilliant smile with a minimal of tooth reduction. Porcelain has a more “vital’’ appearance than the composite restorations.
- Inlays and Onlays – When back teeth have lost structure from breakage or decay, an inlay or onlay may be recommended. Once made only in gold, the procedure is now available in composite or porcelain, making a much more attractive restoration.
- Crowns – “Caps” on anterior teeth are made of all porcelain and restore badly damaged teeth. Crowns can also be constructed with a gold metal alloy on inside for strength and porcelain fused on the outside for a more natural smile. Gold crowns are usually recommended for back teeth and where space is a problem.
Prosthodontics
- Chatsworth Dental Group has a reputation as one of the top providers in the Los Angeles area of Prosthodontics, the replacement of worn or missing teeth with artificial alternatives (implants, dentures, crowns, bridges or porcelain veneers). Dr. Barbara Pampalone has been providing state-of-the-art prosthodontic services since 1967, and implant services since their advent in 1986.
- Bridges – When a patient is missing a tooth, crowns can be placed on the two teeth next to the space where a life-like tooth, created by our laboratory technician, is placed.
- Implants – The gold standard of dental technology, implants provide patients with missing or decayed teeth the look and feel of natural teeth. They rarely fall prey to periodontal problems and never decay!
- Partials – Partial dentures are removable, replacing whichever teeth are missing on an arch. All plastic partials can be made to replace a tooth the day it is removed. Strong metal partials frameworks, with pink acrylic holding the laboratory-created teeth will last for many years.
- Dentures – The choice of many patients, dentures and partials can look great and have a long life span.
Pedodontics
We provide unique services for our petite patients. In our “Kids Room,” children can watch educational videos and children’s movies, while our specially created children’s dental room allows kids to relax among the clouds and trees during treatment. Kids: Don’t forget to take a trip to the toy chest before you leave!
Child-specific Treatments Include:
- Fluoride – This fluoride intense care will help protect teeth from cavities.
- Sealants – Brush-on treatment to protect teeth from future decay.
- Preventative Resin Restoration – A tooth-colored filling can restore small defects – before they get big – without even need of anesthesia!
Oral Hygiene
This is the key to good dental care and an important part of prevention. This includes regular teeth cleaning (prophylaxis or “prophy”) by a trained hygienist. Our patients have enjoyed the gentle hands of Frank DeBiase for more than twenty-five years.
On-Site Lab
We have an on-site laboratory that allows us to offer repairs to prosthodontics quickly and easily, saving time for patients who normally have to wait for off-site repair. Dentures and other dental appliance repairs can usually be done in a few hours.
HIPAA Compliance
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) was instituted by Congress to ensure patient privacy and standardize the way doctors and insurance companies transmit and store data on computers. Chatsworth Dental Group supports the privacy of every patient and is fully compliant with HIPAA.
OSHA Compliance
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has established stringent guidelines to protect patients’ health. Chatsworth Dental Group supports OSHA procedures and is in full compliance with these guidelines.
Sterilization
Our sterilization procedures strictly follow Center of Disease Control (CDC) guidelines. Our practitioners use sterile protective gloves with each patient interaction. Our dental tools are heat sterilized to prevent cross infection. And we even have an ultraviolet box for items that cannot be heat sterilized (like a set of dentures)! |
